Since I drive my quad to my blind I get up early and drive back there every morning so the deer are used to it. This morning on the way back to house I had to stop for a woodcock in the trail . There were two or three of them. This is way late in the season for them to be here.

I had 5 bluebirds pairs hang out near me for a half hour in the woods yesterday. Out of the ordinary stuff happens everyday. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Mother Nature has no hard and fast timelines.
There are animals of all species that migrate late or early it's genetic diversity protecting a species. Growing up we had a mud hole that never froze because of a line running under it from the out door boiler we had a whole flock crashed into the house after being scared off the puddle in January one year.
