I use EM light batteries that I get at home depot in the lighting department they are rechargeable and cost 10.00
6v 4ah lithona. Last about 3-4 weeks on a charge.

that is what makes the camera great i have not bought a battery in 2 years.
I could never have afford to keep feeding my Moultrie with alkaline lantern batteries. I bought 2 rechargeables and keep swapping them out. I also put a solar panel on during cold weather.

so i went into walmart yesterday with the thought " get the 3.1 and nothing else..." well i walked out with 6 6volt batteries and the 2.1. they didnt have the 3.1 so i figured i would get the 2.1 and upgrade later. i cant afford rechargeables right now so i bought the rayovac ones. still have to get memory cards but ill get around to it.

1 question. where do i get the usb cable? i dont really need it since i can just put the memory card in my digital camera but i want it anyway.

I'm sorry but I laughed out loud when I read that. Rechargeables are just about the same price initially and then they just keep getting cheaper as you recharge them. You cannot, repeat CANNOT, afford the disposable lantern batteries.

I have had nothing but trouble with my bran mew moultrie. When I finally got a hold of debra at moultrie she said Rayovac batteries are my problem and moultries will not work with any rayovacs. Sounds funny to me. To answer the question, all things considered. NEVER BUY A MOULTRIE if you want a cheapo get a wildview.

I have two moultrie1.3mp. Will never buy one again, seen deer and bear walk right in front of it never took a picture. Seems like it would take 95 pictures one week then seven next week. Cold weather battery only last a couple of days, got smart hooked up a 6volt car battery lasted whole season.

didnt come with the camera? mine came with the usb cable and the one to plug into the tv.
and rechargeable is the way to go. the only problem with mine is the white out of the eyes.
check out my thread moose pics these were taken by a 3.1
nope it says right on the box usb cord sold seperately.

I got the rechargables, about $10.Charger was extra. Swap one with the charged one, started with one back in Sept for bear season and only changed it once so far. The 3.1 comes with the USB cord, not familiar with 2.1.
I'm very happy with the pics I got so far. Some are posted in my photos.
