Was gonna launch out of either wyndotte or liz park next week. Was wondering where I can buy shinners? Wyndotte ramp only had perch minnows. Will be leaving from Flint. Thanks Jeremy

The dipnet in Ecorse should have shiners, if not then Bottom Line across from Erie metro will probably have them, they are located across from the Lake Ere Metropark entrance on West Jefferson, close to Elizabeth Park. There is also a bait shop located right at the entrance of Liz park not sure of the name I think it is the lighthouse or used to be.
Wyandotte got them in this afternoon I was there when they were delivered and there's a baitshop right next to elizabeth park on the northern entrance off jefferson that also sells them

I agree with u bud 99% im all plastic but,cold water and early season i will take bait the first few trips.lots of times im using just a jig & meat,no plastic.tight lines every one....
Dipnet at Ecorse got walleye minnow. Problem is last time I got minnows, he gave me a dozen I mean 12 minnows, 1st time in 25 years I got 12 minnows. I think it is matter of who gives you minnows. Owner is pretty good. Party store Riviera at Elizabeth Park told me he got walleye minnows but when I got there he said he is got smaller walleye minnows.:lol: they were perch minnows. I think Kim at Ecorse launch got walleye minnows but not sure.
Just go to Bottom Line and avoid the hassle. Big Blues and Spots Available. Best Tackle Downriver. Talked to them tonight as they were unloading bait. Second load this week, and more on the way they say. Lower river is the place to be for the next week. I expect it wont get too good anywhere else until about thursday. Should be slammin by the middle of the following week.
I have tons of plastic, but I like live bait until the water temp is a solid 45. how far is bottomline from liz park?
