Local? Zubok has specialty items you’ll not find anywhere. Andy’s is awesome. Port Huron Anderson pro bait is great. Any mom and pop shop gets my vote. Half the fun is rummaging through 5 decades of fishing legacy.
Check out Hook One in Marine City before Anderson's if on way through. Much better IMO ;)
Tell Pete cripple guy sent ya!

If I fish mid or lower river I always stop in to Bottom Line. Have been doing that for 28 years
I guess! Look forward to stopping in in a few months Bill. Has been your son's face I have been seeing for the most part the past few years. I figured you took up fishing.. LOL

Schultz Outfitters is my favorite. They are no longer fly only and have expanded to more conventional equipment. Most of the baits the sell are geared towards bass fishing, but a lot of that stuff works for walleyes too, like the soft plastic swimbaits for instance. As far as rods and reels go, they carry more higher end stuff like Megabass, Shimano Calcutta Conquest, Daiwa Steez, Shimano Stella, etc.

I try to spread as many of my dollars locally as possible, I also know all the local bait shop owners through the LSCWA and I interact and try to promote their businesses as much as possible.

My local go to’s, starting at the bottom of LSC;

Moe’s
Lakeside Fishing Shop
Sportsmen’s Direct
Anglers Point Selfridge
Hook One

When we head up north we do stop at Frank’s
but more for selections other than fishing gear.

Oh yeah, Northwoods….who can resist 99¢ expired Cheezits!

they took over Jeff's bait by SSP - smaller brick building just to the north of the entrance.......during the spring summer they have also used the old Jeff's bait building as well but not sure if they will continue to do so moving forward. They still have their online business i believe.
