Took my buddy Doug and his kid with us this morning. Went 2 for 3. Didn't have all the lines in the water yet and had 2 lakers in the boat. 70 fow rigger 2 foot off the bottom. Orange crush. Thought it was going to be game on for the kids. Spun around on the same area a few more times but couldn't get nothing to go. Started searching around and marked a lot of fish and bait, but they didn't like what we had out. Had a hit on a slider on the shelf that I'm pretty sure was something silver, but he was gone before i could catch up to him. Also had a couple rigger releases with no one home. Sticklebacks and more sticklebacks in the lakers.

Way to go guys. Nothing better than a trip with your boys young or old.

Fished Saturday morning. Got blown off and was almost in when it started getting better. Turned around and fished. Went 7/7. 5 lakers, a steelhead, and pink. 5 color and riggers took all the fish. Got to see an Atlantic working my prop wash while fighting a fish. Nice cool day out.

Got out this evening around 6:30 with my friend Paul. Wind laid down to nothing. Was perfect out there. Ended up 5 for 5 with 4 lakers and a 6 lb steelhead that had a lot of heart. Bloody nose, mixed veggies and flounder pounder all took fish on rigger mainline and slider down 65, wire diver out 150 and 10 colors. Fished the same area we had been last week. Second 70. Speed was mid 2”s. Caught a trespasser walking across the parking lot when we got in. Tony suggested we stew it with the fish. Going to try to make it out in the morning. Might not have another chance until next week.

Got out this morning again with my friend Paul. Had a lot of action in the same water we had been fishing, went something like 15 for 25 ish. Kept a nice mixed bag of 4 eyes, 3 lakers 2 steelhead and an Atlantic. Threw back a few more lakers. 40 down was the best depth with core, riggers, sliders and wire divers all taking fish. Moonshine spoons with white on them like bloody nose or flounder pounder were best but walleye sized mixed veggies spooons also got some action as well. We were constantly marking fish and bait out in 70-75 fow this morning. Speed was upper 2’s.

Definitely Ed. Paul and I missed you out there this morning.

Sat. mornings reports and early forecast scared me home early. I should have stuck around for a couple more days. Rest of the week looks questionable by the marine forecast, but they been wrong before! LOL
