Those guys are buddies, I find it hard to believe they’re arguing about that. Plus, lone wolf’s patents expired and Andre sold the business last I knew, allowing xop and Infalt to make the stands and sticks. I was under the impression that Cody and Andre D’acquisto worked for xop.

Recently we became aware of certain claims of patent infringement being made against our treestands and process of making them. As of this writing we are unaware of any published or issued patents that are infringed by our products. Lone Wolf has been setting industry standards on treestands for over 35 years and has numerous issued and pending patents related to treestands and other hunting products. Lone Wolf Custom Gear values it intellectual property and Lone Wolf Custom Gear respects the valid patents of others. Any claim that a patent is being infringed without presenting a patent number should be viewed with skepticism. In fact, we believe that such naked claims of infringement are unprofessional, unethical and perhaps actionable. Rest assured, Lone Wolf always has and will continue to design, patent and produce the most innovative and best products on the market.
That was from Lone Wolf Customs site, it's about Dan's claim. Hunting Beast form members on FB had Dan's post that started the issue. He said they violated his patent.

Thanks for posting! I hope Dan and Andrae work this out and can remain good friends. Andrae has the capital to get a product to market quickly, which is what slows Dan down from what I hear. We will see what happens! Either way, it’s a great time to be a mobile hunter with all of the new setup options.

The stand and sticks look awesome! Very innovative and industry leading with well thought out design features. Really like the shelf platform for a pack and the sticks mount almost flush which would be awesome. Camera has some very innovative design features too. A lot of good products coming from this new company "Lone Wolf Custom Gear". With that said - someone would have to be on drugs to make the argument the stand and sticks are worth more than $800. You are about half way to a very nice Muddy enclosed blind. I thought paying the almost $400 for my run and gun set up was steep. I have been proven wrong yet again. Huge miss on their part, IMO. I did not see one thing on the new system that I thought "boy, that is worth the extra $400 and I need it". I will wait for another company to produce the same features next year for a 1/4 of the price.

I agree with what was already said though. Nice to see the innovation and products continue to come out to offer more for a mobile hunter.

I would be surprised if you loved it after your first or second time out. Give it at least 4-5 hunts (with prior practice) before deciding.
I don’t know, everyone is different....I didn’t get a lot of practice prior to season this year due to waiting for the platform to get here from tethrd, so only had practice from the seat of my lone wolf hand climber, but felt very comfortable from the first set this year with my kestrel saddle. Sure, each set got better with setup time and making adjustments that made things more comfortable, but I never had a set that I didn’t like the setup. I used this year as a trial year for the saddle to learn and will convert more of the stand sites for the saddle for next year. It is a great tool in the arsenal and I have no complaints. For run and gun, it is hard to beat a saddle for light weight, ease of hunting any tree and pack ability.

My first hunt was very uncomfortable (mentally). It took me a while to fully be able to put trust in the ropes, caribiners and knots. Once I got comfortable with that aspect, I had to learn how to move into position properly and manage my "footwork" if you will. The drop shot had me thinking that tree stands were still better, but after a few hunts and practice I had my footwork down and I never looked back.
