My kids talked me into going to the draw at Shiawassee on Saturday afternoon…we were picked 31 out of 41 parties…so spots were limited…no birds were flying and then around 5:30 pm 3 airplanes buzz right through our spread! Is this normal???

No minimum altitude over water or sparsely populated areas….but must remain 500ft from person, vehicle or watercraft

The FAA's recommended best operating practice is to ALWAYS fly at least 2000 feet above ground level (AGL) over ALL national marine sanctuaries, wildlife refuges, parks and other noise sensitive environments (see AC 91-36D). This protects both the pilot and nearby wildlife.

Bird strike or engine failure don’t leave many options that low.
I’m a pilot and that’s a dumb stunt during duck season.
