Im gonna try and put together one but before i did i was wondering if any of you guys got some hot tips to share. I got a bubbler already and want to do something with a five gallon bucket that will in the end hopefully hold 4 galllons of water or so to keep alot of pike minnows for all day tip upin. Thinkin maybe some kind of a drop in bucket and spray foam to insulate? Any ideas

As long as its cold out, minnows will stay alive no problem. You just have to keep them from freezing. I just keep them in a 5 gal. pail in garage or on front enclosed porch. If it's too cold, and put them in the basement until next day when there's some sun up to warm them. No bubbler needed, just change water every 2 or 3 days. Good luck.

if you do not got the money jsut a five gallon pail add water keep in door like said. if looking for a good 5 gallon bucket with areator and insolation try the areo bait 5 gallon bucket they sell them at holdens party store on milford road or see link here http://www.magicproducts.com/aerobait.htm

there is also the frabill 5 gallon bucket they cost a ton more then you think i think there 79.99. then it's a external areator pump not one bult in to the bucket so lines tangle around it etc. i ended out with a areo bait and the pump is stonger then that of a frabill bucket. i use a frabill round super stone hooked to the bubbler exit part with a air hose. any ways best bucket i have had yet was the areo bait in the summer. just toss a couple ice cube in and it good for a couple hours. keep them ice cold when fishing crappie or bass in the summer.

I use an old drink cooler for fishing trips stocking it out of my bulk tank before I go out

Like this only green and beat up after 20 or so years....You can buy the newer plastic ones in just about any size.

During the winter I keep a 60 qt plastic coleman cooler in the garage with an airpump running to keep my bait(mostly smelt) alive. I normally keep 20-40 in there and go stock up when it gets low along with some perch minnows.
