Anyone else use Day One Camo gear? It's great stuff.
But I have a question on cloth weights. I have an outfit in light fleece in appartion green for turkey and early archery and I'm going to order some more in ASAT.
I'm all set on wool for colder temps, but I'm wondering if anyone has just the standard fleece clothing vs the light fleece, that I own.

I'm basically looking for a weight that's good for the mid-50 degree range, which we get a lot of in late Oct-early Nov. I'm leaning to just getting the light fleece and layering up if cooler.
If anyone has just the standard fleece weight, is that too warm if the temps are in the mid to high 50's?

I called Day One and the guy thought it was borderline. And as we know, some days in late Oct. it's in the high 60's in the afternoon. And I'm what you'd call "a sweater". ;)

As mentioned, I'm pretty much sold on getting the ASAT in the light fleece, but just wondering.
Also, if anyone has Day One in ASAT light fleece or fleece, what do you think about that pattern and how it looks in fleece? I think it makes you a hole in the woods. IMHO

Afraid I can't help on this one.

However, I concur that the Day One clothing is pretty good. My cold weather gear consists of the Day One bibs and parka, both insulated with the wind barrier. With some light layering underneath and my Mickey Mouse boots, I can remain in a tree bowhunting for hours under pretty cold conditions. My stuff is in predator fall gray.

I had a friend show up one day for a hunt, out he pulled a set of ASAT 3D leaf suit. I thought, WTH is that. After the hunt I went to his tree stand and at thirty yards, I thought he left already. I started walking away when he called out. I had to look twice to see him. ASAT will be on my list.

Ack,
Thanks for the heads up. I must have missed the fleece option on Gray Wolf. I own GW in wool. Great, great stuff. But I was looking for a lighter, cheaper option. I think you just found that for me. ;)

Bob,
My brother wears the Gray Wolf in Predator and my son wears ASAT, neither were 3D leafy though. Seeing both of them walking in the woods and in treestands I will pick the Predator for my next suit.
My brother (MIBIGHNTR) says that he can not believe what he gets away with in a treestand.

I'll agree with that...Predator camo is amazing stuff, and ASAT is a pretty good pattern as well.

I second that. I wore Predator Fall Gray this year for the first time and was only up about 15 feet in a oak tree with no leaves. I had 6 deer under me at one point and I even sat down during that time period. I was sure I was going to get busted...as I have with other camo. One day, I had two deer under me that I got sick of looking at and had to get down anyways. I waved at them a few times and they didn't see me. I waved more vigorously the next time and they looked up, then looked down.

For some reason ASAT doesn't do it for me. It's effective, but I think there's better stuff out there.

I think Eberhart made a comment on here not too long ago about him using it only once and got busted. He never used it again. I look for that comment.

I want the lighter weight ASAT for hunting on the ground with my longbow. I'd be using it in a mix of 2nd cut beech, maple, oak and aspen.
I don't plan on bowhunting in any treestands next season. I plan on staying on the ground, mostly with blinds I'll brush in with timbered treetop's.

BTW - I don't want the competetion out there......

Drew on the coyote and a red fox at right around 20-yards and never got spotted!! PS - Fox was a little too bloodied for pics, but here is the finished product.
