My son and I had a "life altering" event yesterday ..... we spent 12 hours in a turkey blind with Thunderhead. Those that have met Tom know a little of what we went through.
Just a few of the things we learned (some things however, I just can't talk about) ........
- I still need to work with him about keeping quiet
- Don't put your chair on uneven or wet ground - you could be on your back doing the "turtle" at prime fly down
- Leave the youngsters at home (those under 40) as they may be psycologically scarred for life
- While appearing to sleep, TH can actually leave his body (via his butt) and scan the area fields and forests for available Tom Turkeys - this was particularly disturbing
- Don't pass on the jake early that you'd have shot by mid afternoon
- Sitting on a mouse is a felony
