fishnut,

I went there today to check just that. Unfortunately, the ice conditions didn't look real good as was a decent amount of open water. I don't know how thick the ice was and I didn't have a spud to check it. I figured it couldn't have been much because I didn't see one soul on the ice and I even checked over by the channel by Gillett's Bait & Tackle where it's pretty shallow. With Friday's temps in the 50's, it doesn't bode well for this weekend either. Next weeks Alberta Clipper should do the job and I'll be planning on fishing it next weekend.

I almost cried when I looked out my window on Saturday morning, my entire lake was open!! Not a stitch of ice left. Hopefully with these cold temps, as long as we don't get too much snow, we may be fishing this weekend.

Thanks Alex,
That helps me make some decisions about this week. I think that by the end of the weekend we should have at least a few inches. Suppose to be in the single-digits at night with wind chills far below freezing.
