Looking to find a 3.5 - 5hp short shaft motor to use at the managed duck hunting units. Tired of the big boat. Will be putting it on a 12 foot. Air cooled is preferable, as is a built in fuel tank. Trying to keep the cost down under 400. Doesnt need to be fancy, just reliable. Let me know!

Have a mid/late 50s 5 1/2 Johnson completely reconditioned and repainted. Would that work for you?

Maybe, I have been shying away from older motors out of reliability fears but you might be able to talk me into it.
