Took a quick drive by on hte way home from work today, three shanty's out from the launch in the 20-30 foot hole about 200 yards out, someone has been on the shallow bay near the party store, and looked like someone was up west of the launch also.

No idea on the ice thickness, but its a shallow lake, so normally freezes early and hard. the three shanties covered a small area, less than 15 yards apart.

Be careful out there...and good luck

Wolverine Lake is just North of Walled Lake. Its a fairly shallow body of water with 3 deeper holes, Was 3 different lakes till they flooded it years ago. Decent Pike, and panfish in the lake, and walleye have been stocked for many years.

Located in Commerce Township, If you go, Watch where you park in the launch area, I got a ticket for leaving my truck down by the launch one day while I walked out to check the Ice thickness, 50.00 for illegal parking, Issued by the Wolverine village Police. They patrol the lake, and are also real picky about the posted speed limits in the area...35 means 35....I have seen them ticket school busses for doing 37....

Launch is on Glengary rd, just west of Commerce, behind the municipal offices for Wolverine lake Village, there is a bait shop just west of there about 3/4 of a mile, good bait, and more than fair counts.
