I am wondering has anyone tried spring or early summer seeded peas? I have read that you can do this in the more northern areas with winter peas.

I have summer planted field peas but deer usually murder them early on, now i just plant them with winter rye in late August.

Can work though...usually deer eat the mature dried peas (like soybeans) in the fall but also like soybeans deer will often wipe out the growing plants unless you fence the plot. ;)
