Just an example of how difficult it must be to predict winds on the lake. Just went to both of my websites and found almost absolutely opposite reports for Saturday Brest Bay/Stoney Point area. It at least appears they are posting independent information. :dizzy:

For Saturday, 11am:

SailFlow.com - winds <--- out of East, 8-10 mph.

Windfinder.com - winds ---> out of West, 0-1 mph.

It's not like they're even close; one predicts bath-water, the other 4 footers(?)

And look at Toledo # 2

http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/metdata/tol2/

Forget about forecasts! These lakes make their own weather. Too much of "light and variable" or "5-10" and # 2 is at 18 with gusts to 22 NE. What I can't fathom is that these Gurus also have this information and insist it's only 1-2 's.

Someone remind me again.....North/NW winds- will it feel like East winds? Going to head out on Monday and it's showing 10-20 knots N/NW.

Yeah, by the time you go 5+'miles out, you'll have some real tight 3-4's...lol

Better than east winds, but you still have to come in...

On the same token, you might be able to fish the inside of BB with a north wind.

With Windfinder you need to make sure the unit measurement is what you want it. Sometimes they list the speed in knots & sometime in MPH. You need to change it to what you want.

Will someone please turn off this East wind for the rest of the summer. We've had more than enough. :lol:

Thanks,
