Wigwam Bay - Pine River area

Anyone had any luck fishing for perch in the Wigwam Bay / Pine River area of the Saginaw Bay? My dad has told me via is hot line from Flordia. . .argh. . . that this might be a good area late ice. But I'm wondering about now. Anyway I am going to go see some new sites and drop a line in. Any help, thoughts or ideas to help me navagate through would be great. Thanks.

Your about 3 weeks late for the early thing and yes when you have to wear waders in the spring to go ice fishing it can be some of the best perching there is. We fished the area last weekend. There were a few fish around but nothing like early first ice. Hope this helps you out.
