I was almost able to ad one this morning but I hit its back legs, with my car.:yikes: But I too am stuck at work.

My brother John just called me up and he saw three different bucks and seven does. One of the small bucks walked under his stand and he opted to pass. We are all going for the big boys this year.:D

I thought we'd see something by 9:30. I decided to get to the office extra early so I don't feel bad leaving at 3 to hit the woods.

I just got back in. Passed on a big a unicorn spike, lol. Deer weren't moving too much around me, but then again the ground is quiet and the woods are still a jungle. Heck, a dozen deer coulda walked by me at 35 yards and I might of missed em:)

Does this count ... Wind was wrong for both stands this morning, so I just picked a vantage point where I could see both stands. This group was under 1 stand and another doe n 2 fawns was under the other. It would have been fresh backstrap if the wind cooperated. :lol

Well, it's more than I've seen today!! Although, on my way to work this morning, a little late, about 8:30, I did see a fellow hunter loading a a rather nice looking buck into his truck at the edge of a corn field. I couldn't tell the number of points, but it sure was nice! He must have got it right at first light.

a nice beer with some venison steaks would make my day.

question to you all though. with the temp kind of mild, how quickly do you process your deer? obviously a days of hanging may not be the best idea, or is it? maybe a question for a different part of the forum.

Chilly out there this morning. A little windy. Not alot of deer moving around me. Seen a doe and two little ones and drew on a six point but let him walk. All in all a nice morning out there. Ready to hit the stand this afternoon. Good luck all.

With the temp around 50 as long as its out of the sun I wouldnt worry about it hanging for a day in that temp, although not ideal, being a processor I've had no problems with deer people have brought in after hanging a day in that temp, any warmer though and I'd get it in the cooler as soon as possible, If you need a processor I live near mason and I have a walk in cooler let me know
