I am going to get things going.

Boat has been in the water for 4 weeks, toyed around with trolling for pike last weekend and got a handful of undersized fish.

Last night was the true shakedown trip.

Set up in 40 fow and trolled out to 220. Marked 1 fish in close then nothing. Once we hit 200 we had a triple landed a 3# steelhead and 3# coho, lost what seemed to be a laker on a deep rigger. Made a loop and hit the same waypoint and hit a double, a 5# steelhead and another 3# coho. Swung around again and got a single 2ish# coho. Sun set and that was that.

4 color went 3 times with a watermelon stinger spoon.
5 color went 1 time with mixed veggies.
2 color went 1 time with steelie stomper.
Rigger 1 time down 120 down with a mongooseish stinger.

No big fish, but very happy with the little eaters. They are in tight pods, so mark your spot and keep rolling over it.

Little worried about full moon but gave it a go anyway. Setup slightly south of pier in 120 fow 6am first line down, 5 min later Green glow flounder pounder on rigger 91 down in 125 goes off and just peels drag. 15 min later 17lb king. Reset that rigger and start to put out port dipsy and goes off again in 135, 21lb King. Then missed one rigger black and purple spoon 90 down and one dipsy low diver 200 back until 0930. Right bout 0930 green meat rig with Kevin gf paddle 210 back goes off and starts screaming to Milwaukee, 23lb King landed. Rigger in 140 black spoon with silver stripe and gold back goes off, 17lb king. Bout 1030 reeling in lines same spoon rigger starts bobbing doesn't release and ends up having a 15lb laker on it. Ended up 5 for 7 best water was 130-145 direction didn't matter, low and slow nothing over 1.9 today. Best part of the day was watching my 9 yo reel in his first big king and laker unassisted.

Fished last night from 1900 to 2130. Stayed in 110 to 125, ran south to duck lake and trolled north. 1.9 at the ball.

Went 4 for 5 all chinooks.

3 swings on meat low wire 100 and 120 back, Kevin's gf.

1 swing on 11" black paddle/pickled sunshine, high braid 187 back.

1 swing on flounder pounder 80 down rigger.

Two were twin 22.4#, a 19# and 10#. All had good meat but defenitly getting ripe. All had mag alewives in the stomachs. Marked several bait balls near bottom.

I will be out tomorrow AM, 9 rod spread…Are there any other bait shops that carry meat strips that open early. Johnson’s won’t be open when I put the boat in, or open later this evening?
