Anyone went past white lake or heard any ice reports yet? One of my go to lakes early in the season, maybe there’s a chance I can get on before the new year.

It was open yesterday evening at the launch with a bit of ice around the docks, but it is ready to freeze up anytime.

I live on it. Made lots of ice in the last two days. If this cold holds, maybe by next week (depending on what the snowstorm does)

Still 4 more days of really warm temps with a couple days of rain. Can’t imagine there will be any ice left by then. Even if there somehow is, we’ll wish there wasn’t because that ice is gonna be terrible. We’re best off starting from scratch at this point.

How’s the lake looking? Anyone here live on the lake that can provide any reports? Sucks it’s almost the end of January and I haven’t hit my usual first spot this season.

I’m not on the lake, but live near it. I’ll do a drive around the north and west side today. And will report my findings.

Not good on main lake unless you want to use a boat. Only ice is skim ice at boat launch and around the private docks. Back bay is iced over but shore ice not even holding snow. Which the rest of bay is. No shore ice by WL Inn. But ice on that bay also. No one on the ice. Think it will be a bit before I’d try it.

I’ll also add to the report, my buddy lives on Big lake just north of White lake. It’s a shallow lake with no ice on it at this time. Maybe in a canal or two but he’s on the main lake.

Man, I was still hoping to get out Saturday. Seems pretty unlikely. Cold Thursday and Friday, but idk if that will be long enough to freeze. Maybe Long Lake since it’s only about 10’ deep?

Long isn’t good either. There’s a guy by the boat launch with a bubbler going. There was some open water towards the middle yesterday
