I have a white ash tree in my yard that has survived the ash bore infestation and it still produces seeds. I have ash seedlings popping up everywhere and rather than mow them down or cut them out of the flower beds I was wondering if anyone wants to dig them up to transplant. Don't want anything for them, just fill in the holes when you're done. I'm in SW Ionia County. Shoot me a PM if interested.

My buddy contacted MSU forestry and they didn't show a interest in the seedlings or the seeds I collected last fall. Their theory was mother nature would take care of herself. For those who want to give her a hand they are free for the taking.

It's about half dead and has been for about 3 years with no signs of it getting worse. I'm hoping it hangs on as all the others I have are dead but if it should die I'll have plenty of her offspring to replace her. I have managed to saw a lot of nice logs into lumber for the day when there are no ash boards to be had.
