Today at lunch a buddy and I were talked about the upcomming season. Naturally we were thinking about stuff that we needed and things on that "wishlist". In the past few years I have been wanting to get a good upland jacket, but would like some input on what some of you liked / disliked. My only big thing in an any jacket is that in most cases I need a " tall size" for my long arms. The only two places that I have found the tall sizes are Cabelas and LL Bean. I have kinda looked at the Columbia jackets at well. So Lets hear what you guys have tested in the field and how well it has held up to use and abuse.

I saw that website, but I need either a large or X-Large in a tall. all they seem to have is 3XLT on up.

Gander has a nice medium weight goretex upland jacket that is available in talls. I would suggest that you get it one size larger than you normally wear, it isn't cut generously enough for a lot of layering.
