We've been pretty anxious for snow too since we just bought a snowmobile this year. My husband is up in the UP this weekend snowmobiling and he's been having a great time.

I am still hopeful for Feb and even March in the LP.;)

this sure is familiar, like el nino. :yikes: back in 97 or 98 it was like this. terrible.

sarah, get out the heating pad and some back pain meds for john. he'll need them when he gets home. no ridable snow in the nlp means beat trails in the eastern and middle up. atleast the first few hundred miles from the bridge. do you know where they went riding?

Yeah, they are staying in Marquette and hitting the trails around there. This is a whole new thing for us and John is having a blast (and is a little sore! ). We figured we might as well make the most of the Michigan winters.:p We'll be shopping for another sled for next year.

Ozzgood, hopefully you'll have some possible ice for fishing if the snowmobile idea doesn't pan out.

Trails aren't great in Munising in the central u.p however our lodging is http://www.powellshoreslodge.com Fishing is alittle slow on the lake and most guys are riding the National Forest two tracks instead of the main trails. They are snow covered and provide great scenery. Our trails are decent but not great. Think snowwwwwwwwwww. ;)
