I've been kicking around the idea of getting a different boat for awhile now and I'm gettting little more serious. I've done searches on boattrader.com and looked at Lakeside Mairne but was wondering what other places I should be looking. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Gone fishing, I would try South Shore Marine Services in Ohio on Erie. I bought a Pursuit from them last year. I can tell you they are a pleasure to deal with and won't broker a boat unless it's in excellent shape. All their boats are super clean too. They move a number of used Tiaras and Pursuits along with new Contenders and Regulators and Carolinas.

They also are honest and will give you history on the boat. Even though they are two hours away I would go to them again first if I was looking for a quality boat. They will deal on the price a bit too in my experiance. Good luck in your search. Here's a link to South Shore . I also tried Lakeside in Mi. and Ohio but they had nothing at the time but did call me a few months later on one they got in. Leave your name with them and they will put you on a list to call if one comes in you may want. A lot of people trade in and they become available.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking for a 27 open but I did see a really good deal on a 31 which is now sold. If I could find another deal like that, I might consider the 31 although the gas would probably break me. :)

Here's another good site YachtWorld. By the way my brothers 31 Tiara compared to my 27 was quite the gas pig. A lot more boat but the way they drink gas I couldn't justify it for myself for a fishing boat on Lake St. Clair. Figure on spending BIG bucks on gas to run to Canada or the south end of the lake to fish. Not to mention trolling. It wouldn't be hard to spend $100 to $200 bucks or more every weekend on his 31 to do some serious fishing.

Your finally getting serious eh John. Very cool. I would suggest sticking with the 27 open and find a trailer for it. The one thing I would hate to do is pay to have it put in the water and taken out along with winter storage and dock fee's. If it's on a trailer then you can take it where you want, anytime you want.

I'm getting more and more serious about getting the 26 Tiara/Pursuit, finding one with a hard top is a chore. I've got a couple of years before I'm going to need it, so there's lots of time to look.

Good luck!

Wow, that '86 Tiara Continental looks like it would be a neat project:

27' Continental South Shore Marine

Hmmm, let me see....

She needs one of my custom radar arches with rocket launchers, a nice oak or aluminum board across the back with rod holders and 4 Scotty downriggers. Perfect boat for the family and my fishing habbits...........

She's got twins under the floor too.....Grrrrrrrrrr!
