I am coming up this weekend to try for some of those perch I read about on here, and the question is, Where do I go? Remember I am on foot with a small shelter.

you better have more than a small shelter if youre coming up this weekend...its gonnna be unfishable without a shanty, unless youre into hypothermia
if you are going out, read my SANG 1/12 post
SANG is Selfridge Air National Guard, and its at the end of M-59 (not hard to find for foreigner (non-michigander))
the perch fishing here is only OK, its not as good as Indiana!
