Well you definitely won't if it is just one sided and the other gets ignored. I don't know about you but i dont want OBR across the board.
Not too concerned about OBR across the board...it is a ridiculously dumb idea the state will never go for.

What happens with the NW13 in your scenario?

I would give in to a statewide 3pt apr with a one buck per weapon/season, antlerless only for the youth hunt and legalize baiting and feeding-3 gallon limit. No other restrictions.
I don’t mind this too much personally.
If it were 1 per archery and 1 per firearm but not EVERY season I’d be ok with this. The per season thing threw me for a second. But it’s basically that way now and sub 10% shoot two anyways so I think this is fair.

Leave it as that is what was voted for by the super majority according to the process in place at the time.

Ok, but that doesn't make everyone happy...

Thanks! I thought it summarized it quite well. Looking forward to reading some more pearls of wisdom...This should be good!

I'll not post anymore in this thread so I don't ruin it for you, but will it be ok if I add some "likes"?
Your post is basically what I want to happen hahaha. I can tell your comments are about what I have be preaching. All these old guys need to change, this isnt 1950 anymore. hahahhaa

Well I’m an OBR guy but willing to “compromise” 😄. One buck for archery and one buck for gun. All bucks killed have to be at least 3yrs old. Purchase a permit to bait. Application for bait includes GPS location for said bait. Paperless tags purchased on app immediately valid. Buck tags are good for doe.

I would be willing to compromise and sacrifice what ever it takes if the DNR would actually go out and do their jobs for once and professionally managed the deer herd. I'm talking about managing for the proper deer numbers to they are a sex and age balanced herd and within the the carrying capacity of their habitat, but still at robust numbers everywhere. That would be far better than this current policy where the DNR just cares about selling as many tags as possible with no effort to direct the kill through regulations to achieve anything good at all. Its why we have such a dismal hunter satisfaction rate.

I might be one of the old guys you refer to as I will turn 65 this year. Every year it gets harder and harder to trek deep into the woods on state land with a back pack, climbing sticks, and saddle. Dragging gets harder and harder as well! I follow the laws and kill deer most years without using bait. I pass 1.5 year old bucks, and even rack up some decent bucks on occasion. I will do this for as long as I am able. The question for me is, how long can I keep this up?
I can tell you one thing for sure, hanging a mechanical feeder to spread a couple gallons of corn a day would likely keep me in the woods a bit longer.
That is why I ask to compromise just a little for the old farts.

Hunting with an outfitter was how I compromised to keep myself in the field, at least a few days a year. No baiting needed where I hunt.

Right there with ya Joe, those whippersnappers got nothing on me. I can out run, out hike, out shoot any of those beast wannabees.

Have you looked at the younger generations lately? Obesity is now at unprecedented levels in that age group and I could go on and on. That crowd is not impressive at all. Where I venture in the U.P., its not young people I see back in deep, rather its the tough, older guys. :)
