Not to be the bearer of bad news but im guessin Newberry might be a little rough by Thurs.

We just got back yesterday and everything east of rainbow lodge was pretty snirty. Trail 45 was pretty good but I think this warm up is gonna destroy it pretty quik.

Hopefully the warm up wont be as bad up there.

For as rough as the trails were 2 weekends ago I was surprised to see they were still open this last weekend. From what I saw there was no good snow east of pine stump. GM trails were in okay shape, but this warm up is going to end the season if they don't get snow during the night when it cools down.

Bad weather is my fault. I just bought a taller lug track for my XP and a new snowmobile trailer. I shoulda bought a dirt bike tire and we'd have 6 more weeks of winter

Cancel your room and go up to Grand Marais. Only a couple warm days up there and theyre calling for snow for the weekend.

Fox river report from Seney north still says good today and G.M. still says good. Judging from my ride though, Newberry will be shot by the weekend.

I would definetly think G.M. would will be rideable this weekend.

Didn't you just do some work on the xlt?

OutdoorHub Mobile, the information engine of the outdoors
Yepp I replaced the engine, and I just blew up the replacement engine. So now it will be a complete rebuild done by me. That way I know it is done right.

I am also going to repair the suspension on it. This sled will be pretty much all new by next season. I know I could buy a newer sled for what I am going to put into this one. But what fun is that.

I think riding anywhere in MI this weekned is out of the question.

My track came in last nite. Since we have no riding to do, anyone wanna do a track swap on an XP :D?

The trails around paradise, Newberry, trout lake, curtis, hulbert etc are done. They are down to gravel and sand. These areas are currently getting snow, but what they are getting is not going to put down a good base

Seney and GM trails are in okay shape at best. They are very bad near the towns.

We rode seaonal roads today and had a blast. Plenty of clean untouched snow. The snow is up there, but it is not on the trails.
