Hello Mich. Sportsman,

Question. Whatever happened to that supposed World Record Buck harvested in Mich, a few years back. I believe the guys name that took the Deer (with a bow) was named Rampala or something to that effect. There was some controversy surrounding the Deer being recognized by P & Y, but I never heard anything more. Anyone know ?

And he caught a 37LB Bluegill!!

You should see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He put on a stringer all by himself and he put in his boat all by himself, and took it home all by himself, and he even put plaster of paris around the whole fish so he could be secretive!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do i sense some jealousy? His deer has never been proven to be fake or real. So lets leave the guy alone.

Anyway, since I cannot prove that he didn't catch that 37 pound gill, which edges my personal best by a good 8 ounces, who am I to cast doubts on such a catch?

The latest scuttlebutt that I heard (from someone who talked to him) is that Rompola has now disposed of the rack. This will insure that know body will ever know the real truth behind the story. Doesn't that just about top the cake?

The one thing that I always ask when I come across one of those nieve guys who think the deer is/was real is this, Why would a guy who was convicted of stealing food stamps and taking upskirt pictures to sell on the internet choose not to make the potential 1+ million dollars a deer like that would be worth? Think about it!

Yikes !!! didn't know it was that often discussed. Didn't even think it was discussed enough to warrant a search. (didn't know how to spell the guys name anyhow). And certainly didn't know it was such a sore subject in Mich. I just thought the only controversy was in the letoff %age of the guys bow and whether P&Y would recognize it because of having too much letoff.

Foodstamps, Skirt Pictures shouldnt have asked.

Ford8n, Thats the situation- too much let-off for pope & young, Rack was scored. There was a rumor that it was sold for big bucks(pun intended), but don't know. But I'll tell ya what if I could sell a rack for ? say 1 mill. I'd sell and buy more hunting land. Screw all the commercial hype and sponsers. I'd rather be in the woods. Jody
