I was running my good 'ol '71 6hp Johnson for the first time this year, and noticed leakage from the engine block, as if it had another small water pump discharge outlet ("pee hole") on the engine block itself. The discharge from the regular outlet was fine, and the engine ran fine. Is this a cuase for concern?

Maybe some gasket is shot or the housing has a crack, though I was careful to clear all water from the engine after my last outing. But the only effect I seem to notice is the leakage, and the water was only slightly warm both from the leakage and the proper outlet.

engine block may have a crack unless water is out of cylinder head gasket. fid out where it is coming from?

A tisket, a tasket, it's the thermostat cap gasket, part #24, which costs less than $4.
