Yes 1.67% of those known infected patient cases have died but we don’t know how many people in the country have actually been infected. Only 23 million have yet been tested so it’s a misleading analogy. Since we now know the bug is long lived and airborne and it’s been over a year we must assume almost everyone has been exposed. Most people who’ve tested positive had no idea they’d even been exposed and the tests have been unreliable. The swab tests have been effective in one way though. They captured your DNA.
