Made it out again yesterday for a few hours in the morning. It was pretty windy from the NE, so we had to move around to find an area where we could control the boat. We picked up a few dinks, some monster sheep and a couple nice cats jigging. However, I also lost a really nice walleye about 2 turns from the net. Got a great look at it and it was easily over 4 lbs, pushing 5. Before that, I lost a 3-4 lb Steelhead when it jumped about 5 feet from the boat. I was shocked. I know some are caught in the spring and late fall, however, it seemed a bit early for one to be in the river. I thought it was likely another sheep, but it was acting more like a muskie. It came right to the surface next to the boat and we got a good look at it, but then it took off like a rocket and jumped about 3 feet in the air and spit the hook.
