I have have open 5 acres and a a 1 acre surrounded by woods. Where would be best spot?

Well, I gotta eat some crow. I just got on the DNR website and seen the approved turkey feeder. I guess if it was me I would take a walk and see where the most activity is and place it near.

If you have turkeys there let them tell you by studying there movements.

If you have no turkeys around it will be hard to draw them in.

They are just a few hundred yards on the other side of line, scratching around in the ag fields to north of me.

Thought about putting it in the open 5 acres and then putting decoy atop of the platform.

We are just starting to get good numbers on my side of the road, and I want to do everything possible to keep thier numbers up.

A winter feeder only helps you have turkeys there in the winter, and if they're not already there, not even then. It will not help you keep them there the rest of the year, and we do NOT recommend that you leave that feeder up during the hunting seasons. Usually, however, the birds won't have anything to do with artificial feed when they can scratch up wild chow.
