I was watching Linder's Angling Edge the other day and I heard Al Linder say that in all of the years he has been fishing tubes he has never caught a walleye on one. Althought I personally have never tried them for anything other than bass and panfish, I say at least give it a try and maybe you will stumble onto something that will be the next hot bait thru the ice.

But never through the ice....

Have caught alot of perch on micro tubes. Just picked up some baby crayfish to try on them.

I don't know about tubes but I caught several eyes last winter using regular jigs and plastic curly tails. Just like you would use in spring/summer.

Worked for me. Have a box with several colors of jig heads and numerous colors of twister tails. Usually mix and match till I find the colors they are hitting that day. I had my doubts but after a few eyes I was convinced.
