I have a Dogtra...had it probably 5 years.....going to have to change the batteries this year...but other than that...no problems.....can't say that about the Pro-500 Tritronics that I had....Heck....I even ran over my dogtra transmitter with the 4 wheeler and sent it in and had it repaired at NO charge! Can't beat that.....My next one will be a Dogtra!
I got the G3 upland good model. I have trouble when my (GSP)Tiger is in the heavy brush with and signel, but open field no problems
I want to up grade to a unit that has a virbration mode for my two GSPs.
I took a hard look at both and decided to go with a Dogtra 280NCP Platinum instead. I like the gradual increase in power and I really wanted a potential for a silent recall with the vibrate feature that it includes. I also concluded that buying the unit and then getting a Lovett's beeper would cost less than either of the combo's. My Pointer likes to run. Either the beeper will always be on or I'll be losing a dog. Remotely turning the beeper on or off simply won't be necessary for me since it's not an option anyhow.
