Went to a small lake near Kalamazoo to try out my new 5 inch lazer. It was effortless to drill with and I managed to catch a few while I was there. 18 keepers averaging about 8 inches. They were in 17 foot of water and it seamed like the bigger fish were a few feet off the bottom. Tried many jigs before I found the right one. Gold with a tiny white bead and a wax worm was the ticket, they wouldn't touch spikes.
