FYI! There is no law for them to enforce!
I looked up 324.504 and what you have posted does not exist in it.

What you posted comes from this

Which has a header that says

" This document is a guide and not to be used as complete legal notice or collection of all rules, regulations and laws"

Much like the hunting digest, this document isn't actual laws or the actual wording of the law, just someone's interpretation. It is not the actual law.
Thanks for posting State Game Law apparently
Well what do you know NOT ILLEGAL !!
Yes, trail cameras can be used on state land. No, there is no 24hr rule.

Is it legal to leave a trail camera out on state land during the hunting season? Have someone trying to say can’t be out over 24 hr’s !

Thanks Russ
Laws or no laws. If it ain't yours, keep your fuggin paws off it!!!!!°
Hope that is simple and blunt enough for numskulls to understand.
Another Idiot that does not read laws. People leaving out 3 or 4 cams out couple illegal ladder stands claimimg their territory. Laws are on book but DNR won't enforce laws, creates problems between hunters

What you posted isn't from a state law. Its from a guide document. It isn't law.

Can you provide a link to your source that is the MCL or WCO?

Didn't you read the DNR's response? Just admit you are wrong and move on!

I can't see the email either.

You should call or email the rap hotline tonight or tomorrow with the location of a few trail cams on public land and have them go arrest the offenders.

The outcome and reaction of that call should answer if it's against the law, I think if it was illegal we would have heard about it, someone would have got a citation like the baiting tickets that every hunter has heard about, I know a few guys who have gotten that one.

Funny thing about the cam issue is one friend was getting questioned While standing on his corn talking to the CO and the trail cam was taking pics the whole time...he doesn't bait anymore but his cams are still out there. Was a funny pic he posted on Facebook.

My trail cams have my phone number and name on them if a hunter wants to call and talk about the spot and I can let them know when or if I am hunting it. Since I hunt all season I won't crowd someone just hunting a few days in November like the majority of deer hunters do, I can hunt it in December...or like usual the woods are pretty much wide open starting this weekend for the rest of the year.

A CO could call me too, I still haven't received a call from anyone though. I know I don't have more than 30 hunter pics the last 3 years, I pick spots with low hunting pressure...and my cams are usually about 8' off the ground. And that's with 20 cams out mostly on state land.

Only had 2 guys notice my cams, a duck hunter and a father and son. I just wave or give the peace sign to all the cams I see in the NW lower and keep walking.

Instead of looking more then a fool that you already showed ! Just email the DNR LAW DIVISION like i did and ask them do you want to bet that you'll get the same answer that i just posted ! Better yet just take the next trail camera you see on state property leave a note with your name saying you just took it because it was trash with your phone number ! Do you want to take bets on if a CO shows up on your door step for theft ? Hope your jobs keeps people who have been arrested!

Serious question, aren't I allowed to use a tree stand or blind that's left on public property? Yes, its a DB move, but legally, couldn't I sit in someone's blind who left it on public land?

Listen little boy you showed nothing official that would hold any weight in court. I produced a document that showed the DNR could ticket you by leaviing any item which means a game camera on state land. Obviously they don't care yet because they aren't enforcing it. Go out buy 3 or 4 cell cams play with you little I Phone looking at pics pay your monthly fee enjoy it while you can. Numerous states have banned them Michigan will in the future mark my words -BOY.

You sure are clueless! Read the DNR's take on trail cams. FYI! They won't be going away anytime soon.

If that was actually the law, then you wouldn't even be allowed to leave anything in your blind. Meaning chair, shooting stick, heater, etc.... Common sense goes a long ways and fortunately the DNR has some. Too bad some hunters lack it.

As I posted earlier, that document/sign isn't a law. Go read the disclaimer at the top.

IMO your screenshot wouldnt hold up in court either. It isn't Law plain and simple.

You won't get a ticket citing violation of Section- Hunting Related bullet point 3.

Please provide a link to the MCL, WCO or Department orders that say what is in that guide you posted

Technically you can't DNR can't babysit every hunters move. Face it we have to police own actions. State land has a lot of trash slob hunters leave in woods . I walk a lot of state lands in winter small game hunting it sucks to see all the old stands and trash left. I wish you had to remove stand daily like I think Wisconsin does now.

Whatever, At the top "It states It is unlawful to do the following activities on State lands owned or controlled and posted by DNR, etc. ; penalties can vary & can be severe. If that isn't official, I don't know what is.
