Who owns one? Sell me on this boat. The motor (mercury) would be the same as a lund. I know tracker has a history of being a junk boat, but has that changed? So much more included for less $$. Thanks all

I bought an 18 Lund Crossover after looking at the Targa as well. The Targa was nicer than I expected but the fit and finish was not as good. Storage not as good. I also noticed the dash has a lot of flex in it and didn't seem solid. The Lund seemed more solid and I don't mind spending a little extra for good quality. I know a guy who has a Targa and likes it. Also a couple of the welds on the Targa looked odd but I am not a welder.
If I was in the market for an aluminum boat I would buy one. My days of pounding thru 2-3 foots on plane are over. I just need something that floats and holds 4 people comfortably

I was looking into them a while back, was a lot of boat for the $, it appeared. Then buddy decided to get one for the same reasons as he was getting back into guiding. On the trip I went on his boat with him fishing was lackluster but it was early in the season and we just never found the fish but the boat seemed to fish good and he had it set up nicely. With that being said, he had some very troubling stories about it from day one that steered me away from one. Maybe he got unlucky, don't know. What I do know is that he said the front deck collapsed on him the first time he got up on it. Within just a couple trips the carpet was nearly completely off the bunks. There was a couple cosmetic things that I noticed right away too. He said it was a battle trying to get it back into the dealer to fix on their dime too where they wanted him to trailer it several hundred miles or something stupid to drop off and then he wasn't even going to get it back for basically the entire summer and they wanted to charge him for a portion of it for whatever reason as well. This guy takes care of his boats like nobody else I've seen so I know none of this had anything to do with him. I know he's still got the boat and is on about year 3 or 4 with it and things were fixed but I haven't really discussed how it all went down in the end for him. I just don't like the idea of a boat with that many issues ever being able to leave the factory in the first place because it would be much cheaper to do it right the first time versus having to deal with unhappy customers and the bad rap from it.

I looked at trackers last year specifically the Targa.. I wouldn't hesitate if its the right price just understand its not the same quality as say a Crestliner/Alumicraft/Lund. The tracker I was looking at had the best beam for an 18ft'er. I got a Legend and Im happy with it BUT I really love any Alumicraft or Crestliner. I was like 45 mins late on buying a Crestliner and a couple hours late on a bid to buy a Targa. I wouldn't hesitate if it suits your needs, make sure its a good motor (EFI or better) if you can.
Mines an 07 and under the Fisher name. Carries a 115 Merc OptiMax. Best Merc I've owned yet. Boats solid and does not at all resemble any info I've read regarding some of the older boats. Welded hull and all welds are perfect. Boat rides as good as my 18 foot Lund did and being the Lund was also an older boat, seem the be close on storage convenience. You cannot compare a 2010 boat to a 2020 boat no matter who makes it. Storage has improved drastically over the years in boats. Rod lockers hold 8' rods today. My 07 barely holds 6" rods. My storage is terrible by comparison to even a 2012 boat made by Tracker. Not sure what year yours is but my 07 is solid, dependable and rides as good as my 2005 Lund did. Lund had rivets falling out constantly and a rattle nobody could find in the hull under the lower deck. Wasn't worth it for me to repair so I sold it. Boats were much more reasonable when I did that and picked up the current boat shortly after. Best move I made. Don't believe everything you read. If you do, you may only own a Lund the rest of your life. Lund makes excellent boats but it's not the only company doing that.

I have a 2019 Targa V19. Great boat! Good ride in rough seas, no problems.
I use it mainly on Saginaw Bay from May thru Sept. If I was looking to get a new boat it would be a Tracker Targa V19 or V20.

I would buy 19/20 Targa also for my next boat IF I were going to buy another. Not crazy about a full walk thru windshield. I mostly fish inland lakes and occasionally fish the Bay. I prefer more front deck space than the WT design offers. Unfortunately, the Targa IS a big water boat only designed with a WT windshield.
