Birds were gobbling everywhere this morning. If it wasn't for mother's day tomorrow and kids birthdays next weekend, I think I would have waited again. However, the .410 wanted to smack something in the mouth, and I couldn't resist. I really do like that little .410, hopefully my boy can use it next year now that I know it worked well. Anyway, 2 toms came into my decoys and were working my Jake decoy, then 3 Jakes followed and were working on my hen. A good old fashioned face shooting at 15 yards put him down quick. The icing on the cake is that he had 2 beards! Going to try to get my friends a bird tonight.
