Scout and I took and a buddy of mine and his 9 yr old out on a private lake this morning. with everything froze up, this lake is about the only game in town.

I thanks guys! I always try to take my kids hunting! I was very proud of my boy this trip. Most of the time once he gets cold its a rap. This time he was the one that wanted to stick it out and stay!
He turns 10 on Dec 29th and is counting the days till his first "real" hunt

Looks like a lake I hunt. Point on the west side of the lake same side as the boat launch:evil:

there is no boat launch on this lake. the blind we hunted was actually grandfathered to a buddy of mine, there are 3 places you can legally set up and the other two are owned blinds also. the rest of the marsh, even that surrounding the blinds is protected wetlands.
