I'm sure someone has already asked this question but I'll ask it anyhow. What in your opinion is the best and cost effective camera on the market?

What's your price range?

For sub $100, you may look into Moultrie (be prepared with some bad luck once in a while)

For $200, go with ScoutGuard or CuddeBack

For $400, go with Reconyx

For more money, I don't see the point:D

I just got a new Scoutguard - it's awesome !!!!! quick trigger times - and small for easy placement. It's easy to 'hide' as well -

This really depends on what you expect to get from one. Most of the lower priced cameras (sub $200) will give you mixed results. Sometimes they will operate as advertised and other times they are no better than a boat anchor. Ask your self the question of how important these factors are and it might make your decision a little easier. Or at least easier to recommend one that fits your needs.
