My friend Keith and I Launched at the mouth. Drove around for a bit trying to find some good marks. We set up on the east side of the channel in 20 fow in an area where we were pretty much by ourselves. We were running Reef Runner little Rippers and spoons. We caught 28 walleye total. Once we caught 15 we culled. Got one 23 in ,,,,the rest were all eater size. Most fish came on spoons. Beautiful day on the water. A little walleye chop and 60° water temperature. We were too busy catching fish and didn't take pics out on the water but here are my eight fish ready for soaking in the fridge overnight.

Nice job! Was you running a 3 way rig, or spoons seperate? And speed? Might throw a couple spoons out on some 2 color this weekend.

A spoon running above a crank. I run a 24 inch lead to a swivel from a crank then off the swivel run a 36-48 inch lead to a spoon, the crank pulls the spoon down and run two baits at a time.

Some use a 3 way swivel, and some put a speed bead up the line wherever they want the spoon to stop and throw a spoon on a leader as a slider.

Anyone know why the river is so high? I was just looking at the web cam by Smiths park and the water is over the dock with a bunch of debris on the launch.

The Northeast winds pushing the water in, river was probably flowing backwards for awhile!
