Big old girl there Bay. I have two of the 350’s. Honestly of all the guns I have it’s probably my favorite deer gun. I’ve probably shot at least 5 deer with them. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with a blood trail. All high shoulder shots and none took another step ;)

I think both guns have their purpose. I have multiple of both. Depends on your typical land you hunt. In the woods where I’m shooting 150 yards or less I’ll take the 350 every time. If I’m hunting over a field with longer shots I’m taking the 450 every time. I’d suggest spending the extra money and getting the Leupold scope with CDS if you are going to be shooting longer ranges though.

I would agree with this. 100 yards is a long shot for me. I practice out to 200 but in public woods with no shooting lanes 100 is about the farthest poke i ever have. I love the 350L tho. Got it with my kids in a few years in mind. I've always been very confident in it. It's a pleasure to shoot the gun. I've put more rounds through it in just 3 years then any gun I've ever had. I go to the range, blow through a box and wonder where all the ammo went. Recoil is nothing. The doe today stopped head/neck behind a tree so I had to go double lung and it devastated her. Lungs were jelly. I didn't think that would be the result but it was. About a 50 yard shot today. If I ever get a spot with 200 yard shots I will probably get a 450....or just use my muzzleloader that is just collecting dust now.

Couldn’t agree more. While the 450 doesn’t have bad recoil, the recoil on the 350 is pretty much nonexistent. Like you I bought my first 350 with my son in mind. After I shot it I had to have one of my own. By far my favorite gun to shoot.

I think I gave up using a shotgun about 15 years ago. Slug guns can be finicky and inconsistent. Not to mention range is severely limited. I like to know exactly where I’m going to hit when I pull the trigger. I went to my Muzzy for longer range and more accuracy but sure was a pain to keep clean all the time. The 350 and 450 are game changers for the shotgun zone. I don’t think Fish will ever go wrong or look back when he gets either of these.

I did make a move finally today. Sucks but for state land gun weekends I'm just not comfortable in many spots. Got a late fill in to drive my kids today so i set up in a section surrounded by horse farms so hay, alfalfa and whatever else graze they put out in the fields?

Don't know if it was the move by food or if the deer are starting to move better all over in general but I saw 7 deer by 8 when I took the shot. Thought for about 2 seconds about holding out for antlers but I didnt.

I’m glad the move worked out for you. My camera was blowing up today including our shooter.
