I have a stainless Omega (2002 maybe?) that apparently has a non-stainless trigger group. I always clean the barrel after shooting but apparently I neglected the trigger group. The hammer was tight when attempting to operate and all seized in the locked position. The actual trigger just broke as i pulled harder to release the hammer. I'll work on a picture. Anyway, pictures of other stainless omega's i've seen appear to have a stainless trigger group. Went to the TC website and I see they don't make the omega anymore. I was hoping that it would be possible to purchase a stainless trigger group.
Second question what to do for now. I think the Omega is down for the count for awhile so if I want to get out this year I'm thinking I need a new gun. That said, would anyone care to make a recommendation on a stainless (all Stainless) muzzle loader? I currently shoot BH209 and would like to stick with it. I really just want something that isn't so finicky about being cleaned and oiled. For what it's worth this omega sits parked next to all my rifles and they don't have an issue with rust or corrosion. Are the inline bolt actions like Knights a possible solution? Any recommendation would be appreciated. And yes, I should have cleaned and oiled my omega more/better and apparently more often.
