got out today for a bit and ended up 1/1. Nice 5lb male with a clipped fin that fought very hard. The fish was laying right where i thought a fish would be and hit on the first drift. Gorgeous day but i heard the temp was supposed to be in the 40s and i dont think it was much over freezing, oh well a good day nonetheless. Still lookin for the real chromers but i think itll be a bit. Yea the snow is melting but there is still a lot on the ground and shelf ice is still present. It will take a bit for that water to warm after the snow disappears. For now I dont have a problem with hooking the smart fish that have been in the river for two or three months. With the temp rising even a degree or two some of the fish are turning stupid and following their metabolism. Good luck and tight lines.
