We started out of Linwood at 6:45 a.m. Not many boats at Linwood Beach Marina but they started showing up soon after we hit the ramp.

Waves were 1 foot or less and even better during the day yesterday but it was warm around 12:00 p.m.

We didn't catch a walleye until 9:00 a.m. partly because we started to troll in 14' of water. We finally headed to the black hole in 22' of water and picked up 10 Walleye in under 2 hours along with several perch and some white bass.

It appears as though there are some perch moving into that area so I guess we are going to get ready for a fun fall of perch fishing.

We had the best luck using floating crawler harnesses with 1.5 and 2.0 weights going the same old speed of 1 mph or less, basically drifting.

We even caught some walleye on the worm colored gulp since we ran out of crawlers.

It was fun being on the bay with very little wind finally but it would have been nice to have had a little walleye chop. I find that it helps to have small waves.
