Looking for some info on trolling around all 3 areas. We are leaving Thur afternoon to fish and mess around all weekend on the water. Bringing downriggers/dipsys/leadcore. wondering what to expect or do differently then we do around West Mich.

Thank you in advance for any help, PM's are also welcome

Hope this helps a little. I fish the Rogers City Cheboygan areas and have found that all the same stuff from the west side works on the sunrise side too. Use a lot of lead core and longer leads on the riggers. I have found a preference for spoons with a white back over here. Water seem to be much clearer. You may also find a better mixed bag of fish on this side: Kings, Lakers, Steel and even Atlantics. Check out the Detroit Free Press article from this past Sunday that describes what is going on over there. Good luck

Check out running deep charters from Mack city, they post some good reports. Last weekend was slow up there, but it has been decent this year for the most part. Fish the back side of Mack, the horseshoe between mission pt and Bois Blanc and in front of coast guard station. The shoals in the straights can produce as well. Good luck
