. I really used to like Lakeside at 10 & Jefferson especially when Larry Sawicki owned it, but they've really gone downhill the last few years, both in what they carry and in any customer service.
I used to love Lakeside. Till they couldn’t be bothered to order four matched Abu/ Ugly stick trolling combos for me, then a little while later I was in there picking out several hundred dollars worth of Berts stuff and was told to hurry up, They were closing in 10 minutes. No offer to help, just get moving. 10 minutes is a long time to pick up stuff when you know exactly what you want. I would have been done in two more, but due to their rudeness I left everything there and haven’t been back.
( BTW this was right when SDI opened the original store by the spillway, they got me my trolling combos, my Berts, and I have been a loyal customer since)
I hope Angler's keeps their "bargain" table going. A good place to pee away some cash on some random lures. I found 3 knock-off bull dawg muskie lures this past summer - $5 a piece! One worked, which is worth the throw away money if one should be lost. Like to see SDI offer up some unique finds like that as well. Yes, they're right around the corner from each other now, and SDI can handle the live bait scenario better, or seems to. Hey, it's competition!
Uncle frank. The clearance tables at the metro store has had some pretty good deals over the past year. We try to find some sweet deal for you guys. This is one of the deals we found for you guys last winter.
I use to go to Lakeside all the time in the 70 and 80's and they were always Top Notch. Moved away for a few years and that is sad to hear now how much Lakeside has gone down. Will have to take a ride out there since I'm back in Waterford Mich now and check it out. Tight Lines. Good Luck.
Good luck I always said a bait shop is a tough one. If you have great emeralds awesome. But if you only get 13 in a dozen peeps won’t come in there to buy em. That Master Bait gas station in algonac gives ya 75-100 minnows per scoop, but usually not emeralds. And Cabelas and bass pro are total ****. Get the minnow count up and you’ll have way more custos.
As a bait shop, SDI always has the freshest bait. They carry the essentials that I need for fishing which I can't say for many other shops, it's actually kind of sad. They have the right lures for our area and even other bodies of water. No other bait shops around lsc that come close to there selection.
I asked my buddy that runs the archery or as part of the archery Department if they had any Arrows with helical veins. He had no idea what I was talking about.

Ignant. Even tho I don’t know wtf that is either lol. But I never hunted or bought an arrow. But if that’s your job cmon. Cabelas and Ass Pro can F off.

I miss gander when it was going out of business. Man there were some deals. I was driving up there every other day to see what new stuff would show up. Bought too much and wish I would have bought more.
