Went to South Haven today and had Captain Rob on board from SeaBee charters. We sat down in 50' or so looking for kings and found nothing but lakers again. Finshed 4 for 7 and only one bite could have been a coho. Right out the gate we took a laker on 10" blue spinnie with Sea Mist Horse fly and followed it a minutes later with a laker on Mashed Mahi spoon. Both fish were on riggers within 10' of the bottom in 60 fow. After the two quick lakers, we went looking for coho in shallow with to no avail. After a having one dragger on a short core that got off, we pointed back to deeper water and took another hit and landed two more lakers on an 8" white spinnie with a Seaweed Horse Fly. We also had a rip on Octoberfeast Nailer spoon as a slider on a rigger, again close to the bottom, but in 45 fow on the way back out. Sunny and flat on the water, it was another beautiful day.
Other reports sounded like mostly lakers as well.
