My two brothers and I got Friday off so we headed to Higgins.
After a stop at Barnacle Bills we set up at around Noon. We only got about 20 during that shift . Ive got to warn you guys the ice is getting real iffy.Big G almost sank his quad, near shore.
Saturday after getting up late we headed to the South park for some perchin action. It was slow to say the least. Once again guys be careful there are a lot of iffy ice conditions. Saturday nights smelt shift we walked out. I think we got about 26. Man what a lot of people, we had a great time.
Sunday back to the "hotspot" from the day before. This time we got some keepers. Totals for the weekend were 46 smelt , 12 perch.
Good luck if you go.

Redneck, You forgot to mention those master angler mudpuppies that Schleprock and I caught.
I think I'll wait for warmer weather before I take another swim at Higgins lake.
