Senate unanimously approves Hall for the NRC

"The Senate signed off on Gov. Jennifer Granholm's appointment of Gerald Hall, of Gaines, to the seven-member panel that sets policy for the Department of Natural Resources and hires the department's director.

The Senate action came a day after Senate Majority Leader Ken Sikkema, R-Wyoming, said the chamber wouldn't approve Granholm's other appointment to the commission: former state Rep. Mary Brown of Kalamazoo."

"Despite the Senate's inaction on Brown's appointment, she still will join the commission. Appointees are considered approved unless rejected by the full Senate."

Typical spineless politicians. Now they can tell the sportsmen that they didn`t vote for Brown. Too bad they didn`t show any guts by standing up to the Governor.
