I ve never heard of that but I have had certain cards that didn’t work in a camera. Find what your camera manufacturer recommends and use that.

Do a quick format, if that doesn’t work try a hard format. Marry your cards to a specific cam and youll have less problems. Just my experience and what I’ve read. I’ve had new cards give me fits and old ones that still work fine. Probably operator error at some point but I’ve had them read “error” or “corrupt” on my card reader and computer. If a format doesn’t fix it, i toss em.

I'll almost always wipe a card from the computer and then use the "erase all" or "format" option right on the camera itself when I reinstall. I found that each camera has to create its own folder structure to properly save pics, and sometimes a fresh format isn't enough to get them reset properly.
